We’ve answered some commonly asked questions that could provide some guidance.

  • Who will I be employed with/who will paying me?

    As a casual employee, you'll be employed by Hatrix Recruitment and assigned to work with one of our host employers. In the case of a permanent role placement with a specific client, your payment will be managed by them. We will thoroughly discuss the employment arrangement for the role with you before the placement occurs.


  • Does your service cost me?

    No, our services for job seekers are free of charge.


  • In what capacity will I be employed?

    This will depend on the role that is being filled. 


  • When is payday?

    Pay week is Monday to Sunday. All timesheets are processed by Wednesday and payslips are distributed. Weekly pay will be in your account by Friday for the previous week.


  • How do you know how much to pay me?

    All employees are required to complete a timesheet and submit it to their direct supervisor for sign off and they will send it through to the Hatrix Recruitment office. We will process all timesheets for the week in order to pay employees.


  • Who do I contact if I can't attend my shift?

    Please contact your Hatrix Recruitment consultant as soon as you realise you are unable to attend a shift.


  • Who do I contact if I have pay queries?

    If you have a pay query please contact us.


  • Do I get any leave?

    As a casual employee you receive a casual loading included within your pay rate. This is in lieu of paid leave. Should you require unpaid leave, please discuss this with your Hatrix Recruitment consultant.


  • What is the process when going for a job with Hatrix Recruitment?

    • If you've applied for a job through our website and your skills align with the role's requirements, a consultant will contact you for a brief phone interview.
    • Should you and your consultant decide to proceed, you'll be requested to complete Onboarding forms prior to an in-person or video interview. Please note some roles may require a physical or medical assessment.
    • After we've connected and learned more about your experience, if the consultant identifies a strong fit for the role, you'll be considered for submission to the host employer.
    • In certain cases, a second interview with the host employer might be necessary before final confirmation of your suitability for the role.

  • What should I include on my resume?

  • How do I apply for work?

    There are a couple of ways to apply to work with Hatrix Recruitment:

    • If you've seen a position on our Job Board that you have the necessary skills & experience, apply for it and we will consider your application
    • If there isn't a specific position you would like to apply for then submit a resume and one of our team will be in contact when we find a suitable position for you.

  • When and how will you contact my references?

    When you complete your Onboarding you will provide the contact details of your references. We will contact your reference via phone or email when you are being considered for a specific role.


  • What if I am unhappy with my role and/or location?

    We want everyone to be happy with their role so get in touch with your Hatrix Recruitment consultant and have a chat.


  • Do you offer sponsorship for employment?

    We do not work with host employers who offer sponsorship to job seekers who are currently not in Australia or do not have the necessary working rights to be in the country. 


  • Can I take time off?

    Should you require time off, please discuss this with your Hatrix Recruitment consultant.


  • Do I get superannuation?

    Yes! All roles receive supperannuation in line with the Supperannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth).


  • Am I paid under an Award or an EBA?

    Whether you are paid under an Award or EBA is dependent upon the host employer you are placed with. This will be communicated with you in your On-Hire Agreement prior to commencing work.


  • What award am I paid under?

    The award you are paid under is dependant upon the industry and role you are in. Your On-Hire Assignment will detail the Award you are paid under.


  • Do I get overtime?

    Overtime availability varies based on your role and the specific host employer you're assigned to. Some clients offer weekly overtime options, catering to those interested, while others provide it as needed, aligning with the demands of the job.


  • Who do I speak to if I have an issue on the job?

    You will need to contact your Hatrix Recruitment Consultant if you have any issues on the job.


  • Can I send you my resume without applying for a specific role?

    Yes you can! We will review your resume and determine if we have a position available that suitable for you. Go to Submit a Resume to send us your resume.


    If we do, one of our team will be in touch to arrange an interview. 


    If not, we will keep your resume on file should a position become available. Please continue to please keep an eye on available positions and apply for those you would like to be considered for.


  • What industries & positions do you recruit for?

    We currently work within a number of industires. Visit the Our Industries page to see the industies and roles we recruit for. If the industry and/or role you are requiring assistance with is not listed, please Contact Us.


  • How long will it take does me to get a job with Hatrix Recruitment?

    The timeline for this process depends on multiple factors, including your interview and assessment availability, as well as the host employer's desired start date. Your Hatrix Recruitment consultant will inform you of the estimated timelines during your initial interview.


  • What can I do to increase my chances of being considered for a role?

    To enhance your chances of being considered for a position: 

    • Apply for roles that match your experience and skillset 
    • Customise your resume and cover letter to match the specific job you're applying for
    • Demonstrate effective communication – timely and thorough communication showcases your eagerness for the role 
    • Display punctuality – arrive promptly for interviews, factoring in travel time and potential delays 
    • Show desire for work – promptly complete necessary documentation and show enthusiasm at interviews 
    • Present yourself professionally – opt for smart casual attire unless specific dress code instructions apply, such as wearing appropriate PPE for an on-site interview with a client.
